This is the most common question we get asked. The following information answers that question and provides customers with the tools to calculate their own quantity requirements
The calculator below is what we use when we're asked "How much do I need?" ... it's now available for you to use.
Step 1. Enter the dimensions of the space you're protecting into the calculator utility below to calculate the grams of Silica Gel required
Step 2. Now that you know how much Silica Gel you need head over to the Shop to buy the correct size
Here is an example of using the calculator above and selecting the right Silica Gel product from the Shop
Max's boxes he is putting into storage are 70cm high by 40cm wide by 35cm deep (70 x 40 x 35cm) Max enters those measurements into the calculator (in any order) and gets the result that he requires 98 grams of Silica Gel. Now that Max knows how much Silica Gel he needs he heads over to the Shop to look for the right size product
Max uses the quick links at the top of the Silica Gel sachets category and sees that the closest size to 98 grams are 100 gram sachets so Max goes ahead and purchases the 100 gram sachets as he only intends to use 1 Silica Gel sachet for each box
Alternative size sachets that Max could have opted for to make up the 98 grams are 2 x 50 gram sachets per box, or 3 x 35 gram sachets etc. In fact when protecting a contained space the size of Max's box it is common to use 2 or more evenly distributed smaller sachets as they will reduce moisture levels faster than 1 larger sachet
